Hail_Spacecake: Few things:

1. Double check which user is running plasma or display manager and ensure that user can write to directory
2. Do you have enough space on your HDD/SDD?
3. Last resort if it's really that important to you, I had to do it for Pipewire when it is messing with KVM. Make sure you keep track of the dates for updates, when the last time you update before this one and then just reverse the update on Arch Linux and investigate by using Git Bisect.
